THANK YOU & WELCOME: ALL YOU NEW FOLLOWERS!
I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the people who have followed me in the recent weeks on here, and to apologize about it being during a bit of an art drought. I’m currently neck-deep in working on updated material for my professional portfolio and a HUGE art buffer to keep this place humming while I: work on commissions I’ll announce, job hunt, and get back to comic-making finally.
Doing all of this while also working a day job and probing possibilities in getting teaching certification means the pace isn’t exactly what I’d like it to be but I appreciate everyone hanging in there with me!
I hope you all enjoy your stay~! THE GOOD STUFF IS COMING.
You ever gonna open for commissions again?
I’m approaching the final stages of getting several things off my plate so I can focus on getting them done efficiently and quickly!
There will be a big post to announce them so IT’LL BE HARD TO MISS.
Does Anne Iver keep getting physically larger every time you draw her?
I…I can answer that…I…uh….WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THE TIME.
(I have a condition, okay.)
"Oh my goodness! You’re breaking the rules, and we CAN’T allow that~"
My character bust entry for Cruxia’s up-coming fighter collab with my creepy/cute (?) character Dover! The actual submitted one lacks this cool menacing shadow of Dover’s larger form, so I wanted to upload it here to make sure folks saw it!
Has Camilla ever gotten her ass kicked?
Over 2000 years on this planet and everyone: from the Templars and Free Masons, to the Holy Vatican, to the United Nations have all tried to kill or even just imprison her and none of them have succeeded.
There’s your answer right there.
I wish to pay tribute to Zati, does she accept offerings in the form of a mountain made out of fine swiss chocolates?
I think it’s safe to say that’s a big “yes" on those chocolates anon~!
I threw the hope that we will see Anne Iver in the pit.
There she is! Yelling at an anonymous client over the phone about payment. Hey, amazonian private eyes don’t come cheap ok?
Ok, so you saw the old a ways back and now here’s some much fresher and newer doodles of my trans protagonist Arturo Mendez from my story concept "Charity Hill".
Used this page of drawings to work out his fashion sense and put him in some various and neat outfits, and I imagine he’s got a pretty sharp sense of dress, even when it comes to the more casual occasions.
Also that pipe he smokes is canon now. In my opinion pipes are way classier than cigarettes or cigars. If I didn’t care about my health I’d probably smoke one honestly.
"Listen here Sergeant. You see that woman over there? Don’t mess with a woman who’s fought in 5 conflicts, lost her right arm and eye before having them replaced with cybernetic ones, wields a sword, and has founded and commanded not only one but TWO special ops units.”
Some quick little boarder-less panel experimentation with my bad-ass character, Major Soldat Battlecreek from my big post-cyberpunk opus "LIVE GEAR"!
It had been a good while since I had drawn something finished for my big ol’ Post-cyberpunk genre story known as "LIVE GEAR".
Since the main cast are in the military and members of a spec ops unit, I wanted to nail down their casual (and a couple uniformed) dress looks along with their full field-suit duds. I wanted there to be a sort of uniformity but also unique features and aspects to each one as well!
So naming all 6 from left to right we have:
(Top Row): Zeke Rowland, Hilda Stadford, Bailey Strauss
(Bottom Row): Leland Birdsong, Blaine Rockwell, Maj. Soldat Battlecreek
Got a furaffinity account?
(Here’s the deal. I don’t have anything against Furaffinity or the furry community at all. I’m just doing terrible as it is balancing my presence on only two sites right now: here and DeviantArt. So adding another to the mix would just ensure it got neglected as much, if not even more…)
If you could have any of your stories cross-over, which ones would you choose?
ACTUALLY ANON: I realized recently I have so many damn story ideas floating around, that I decided to fold a bunch of them together into a sort of “shared-universe”. They all shared the elements of the supernatural/sci-fi/paranormal set in an alternate modern day Earth.
Eventually I want to knock each story out, and then bring all the respective protagonists together to make a sort of rag-tag supernatural & conspiracy hunting team a-la “Guardians of the Galaxy" style or something. They’d hunt and fight new threats I’d make just for THAT series.
The duo above are original characters (separate from the various stories) I was kicking around in my head that would be the sort of “brains” of bringing the team of protagonists together.
The woman on the left is Dr. Agatha Lancaster, she’s a sort of an eccentric genius and world-expert on paranormal/supernatural stuff. The creature on the right is named Dover and they’re a strange shape-shifting and borderline invincible being from another dimension. Dr. Lancaster found them when she accidentally opened a space-time rift during a thesis experiment.
What if you called on Zati and asked her out on a date or something stupid along those lines? Also, is her nominal fee's your first born child? Does she eat babies? Kind of brutal there.
She likes to play coy, I don’t think you’re really gonna get a solid answer out of her as to what the payment is until it’s a little too late hahaha. For goodness sake I made her and even I don’t know what it is (cause I haven’t worked it out yet!).
But naw, she doesn’t eat babies tho to answer your question.
HAVE FUN ON THAT DATE ANON. HOPE IT’S WORTH THE PRICE~
Some slightly older doodles I did back when I was first putting together a story idea: "Charity Hill". I realized through my various ideas and works that I had zero stories with a transgender main character front and center, so I wanted to change that here with Arturo Mendez, who’s a trans male.
I still have to tweak and work way more on some elements of his design, and what-not but I thought it wasn’t a bad start of a direction to work with.
I can’t say much about Charity Hill at the moment, but if you like stories with conspiracies, strange small towns, and paranormal elements then it’s up your alley! Think of it as a cross between Twin Peaks and FLCL!
